There were two Pontiac Custom Safari models in 1957, the sporty 2-door and this high-end 4-door.  The 4-door is called the "Transcontinental Safari".  Note the unique side trim, unlike any other 1957 Pontiac model.  Like the 2-door Custom Safari, It featured all leather upholstery.  Only the 4-door Custom Safari model was continued1958, the 2-door was discontinued.
