POCI Western Regional at Bass Lake, CA.

October 1, 2005

This is a select group of pictures of the 50's Pontiacs at the POCI Western Regional.  The 50's cars were not well represented this year at the Regional.  There was only one 56 (a Safari), one 58 (Bonnie fuelie), and some of the early 50's were not represented at all.  But those that were there were mostly very very nice.

Beautiful coupe.

Spectacular red wagon.

Nice 54 four-door.

55 Safari restoration in progress (belonging to Rich and Pam Gabrielson)

55 two-door Chieftain with 59 engine (also belongs to Rich and Pam Gabrielson)

Very nice 55 Chieftain hot rod.

Very nice 56 GMC.  It's been in the family since new.

56 Safari with 76 Trans Am front end, running gear and 400 engine belonging to Larry & Debbie Strain.

Safari's rule so they get two pictures.

57 mild custom - nice.

Another 57 mild custom

Another 57 custom, this one not so mild.

Is it Packard tail lights with a Pontiac body or is it a Pontiac body with Packard tail lights?

Beautiful restored 58 fuel injected Bonneville

What is this?  Looks a little like a 59 Pontiac.  By golly, I think it is.

59 convertible with tri power

This is not 50's but I like it and it is my web site so here it is.  This is a very rare well-preserved '62 421 Super Duty Catalina with 4-speed and aluminum front end.  It has original paint and upholstery.
