About the Master Parts Catalog

This 1956 Master Parts Catalog (MPC) lists Pontiac replacement parts for all models up through 1956.  Parts illustrations (pictures showing parts) cover mostly 1950 through 1956 with some earlier illustrations.

Requirements for viewing the MPC.

You must have Adobe Reader installed to view the parts listings and a few other pages.  Adobe Reader is free and can be downloaded at  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Tips.

• Each link on the "Contents" page (the MPC home page) will open in a new window.  An illustration (graphics) page will probably be sized to fit your window (depending on browser).  If you use Firefox or Internet Explorer 7.0, simply click on the image to zoom into the spot where you clicked.  If you are using any other browser, you're on you own.

• For quick access to the MPC, save a Favorite (Internet Explorer) or Bookmark (Firefox) in your browser.  Then you can open it quickly from the browser in the future.

• A couple of links at the beginning of the document are quite useful, pp 19-26 Chassis Alphabetical Index and pp 33-34 Chassis Illustration Index.  These pages can be helpful in finding the correct pages for your parts.

• See page 2, Introduction, for an explanation of the parts numbering system and instructions on how to locate parts.

• When you open a parts listing page, Bookmarks allow jumping to a place within the file.  Some of these files are relatively large and this allows you to jump quickly to a desired area within the file.
